About The Show
A: Pumpkins After Dark is Canada’s award winning Halloween event. Witness the magic of pumpkins coming to life after dark in a one-of-a-kind walk through experience. Featuring over 6000+ hand carved pumpkins, explore the magical pathway of lit pumpkin sculptures and displays, with music, sounds and special effects. With classic Halloween characters, dinosaurs and dragons, movie and pop culture icons – this family friendly event has something for everyone!
A: We use a combination of craft and real pumpkins throughout the event. Every pumpkin is hand-carved by Canadian artists, using 2D and 3D techniques. Our large installations are made of specialty craft pumpkins (a unique low density foam) to mimic the texture and density of a real pumpkin. Since these pumpkins won’t rot, our artists can design and build larger, even more impressive displays.
A: It takes our team of pumpkin carvers a year to create the displays. All pumpkins are hand drawn and carved by Canadian artists.
